Year 4 - Wednesday 3rd May

Year 4 were eager to get up and get going for Day 2 this morning.  We had our first bunkbed inspections to see which group could be the tidiest – it will be interesting to see who wins, when the results are announced on Friday!

The sun was shining as we walked over to breakfast.  Everyone ate well, Mrs Matthews was kept very busy on toaster duty!  There was a choice of 3 different cereals and toast with a variety of spreads.  After breakfast we washed out and filled up our water bottles for the busy day ahead and half the class fed the resident animals with Mrs P and the other half cleared up the dining room.

For our first activity we headed over to the Blindfold Trail.   The children were put into pairs and had to help their partner complete an obstacle course.  After that they went on the low ropes course - a type of trim trail.

Then it was time to try out some of the delicious cakes and biscuits from home and enjoy a break before lunchtime.  Year 3 arrived with Miss Hastie, Miss Oakley and Mrs Hamer.  It was nice to see some familiar faces!

We all enjoyed lunch together - chicken or vegetable curry with lots of options on the side and a delicious oat biscuit for pudding.

After lunch we are all having a go at archery while the Year 3s pond dip.  We are working hard on our technique and concentrating well.  Well done Bentley archers!

For dinner we will have macaroni cheese and salad and had a selection of fruit for pudding.

This evening we will join Year 3 for movie night.  Afterwards, like yesterday we will have hot chocolate and a biscuit before getting ready for bed.
