This week at Bentley...

I have met, emailed and talked with many amazing PTFA members this week as there are two super events about to happen! Tomorrow we have the fantastic Sponsored Walk and next Friday the Bentley Ball. Both events are very different but both promise to be a  lot of fun!

The walk starts at 2pm tomorrow afternoon and it is not too late to get involved. Our super staff and lovely Year 5 PTFA members will be on hand at school and look forward to a great family event. Click here for more information.

I can’t believe how quickly time flies as The Bentley Ball is just one week away - so get those outfits coordinated and get ready to have some fun! It is going to be a terrific evening and thank you to everyone who has sponsored aspects, promised items, bought tickets, donated fantastic prizes – you are all so very generous and the evening is going to be a very special one. Dancing shoes at the ready…

Linked to The Bentley Ball is the WOWSER Promise Auction for 2019. There is certainly something for everyone and lots of super promises for children and adults. The list opens up on Tuesday so get at the ready to log on and make a bid or to place a bid (in a sealed envelope) via the school office. Don’t miss out as everyone can bid and there are many, many amazing ‘money can’t buy’ type items available!

Back in school there has plenty of fun and lots of learning. It was the first week in a little while without a dressing up day, which was somewhat of a relief for some and a minor disappointment for others but certainly less preparation required as we were back to uniform. We have had; Year 5 Lent Lunch, play rehearsals, Year 6 SATs talk, Cricket fun and super learning for all. Keep it up Bentley – just two weeks until the Easter holiday!

Have a good weekend.

Costume appeal!

Bowler hat   -   Cane   -   Driving hat   -   Driving gloves

Flying helmet   -   Smoking jacket   -   Bow tie   -   Homburg hat

Recycling

To help us to Save the Planet we now have a textiles bin which is situated by the Year R gate. If you have any items to recycle please bag them up and pop them in. Every time the bin is collected we will gain a donation towards the school. Click here for an update on the WWF challenge.
