Bentley Church of England

Primary School

Washing machines at the ready....

Another good evening and sleep at Calshot! After their hearty breakfast the class are all packing ready for this evening. They have another full day of activity with Team Swing, Cycling, Kayaking, Sailing and Shooting on the agenda!

Sadly Mrs Elliott was not able to join the group to stay as we had hoped so we were extremely grateful to Mrs P for very kindly staying over with the children, Miss Gillick, Mr Chanter and Miss Wright. Thank you so much Mrs P (and all the cat/flat sitting back up team who stepped in!).

Miss Gillick has done a brilliant job of leading and has worked closely in partnership with our team and the Calshot staff to ensure that everyone has been very well looked after. All four Bentley adults have passed on their pride about how well the children have behaved and how well they have got on which is lovely to know.

The children are due back at 7.30pm and you are welcome to come to school from 7.15pm to wait. Please collect your child, their belongings and, of course, pass on your thanks to the super staff team who have looked after them. They will need an evening meal and then a good wash and bed we suspect!

As you know it is school tomorrow and both Mrs P and Miss Gillick are 'back to normal' with the class. Miss Gillick has planned a suitable timetable so we do expect everyone back in. If your child is really beyond exhaustion and does require a lie in on this one occasion there will be no late mark as long as they arrive before midday BUT you will need to bring a packed lunch for them.

Lastly - there is a water fight planned for tomorrow so if they would like to bring in a water gun (no water balloons please!), spare clothes and a towel they may take part.
