We’ve arrived! We’re here in Calshot and ready for our adventure!

Our first challenge was to find our rooms and make our beds, before meeting our instructors and heading out for a tour of the Calshot site. After a hearty lunch, we all headed to either the climbing wall or ski slope for our first activity. Across the afternoon, we learnt how to put on our safety harnesses and were encouraging each other to go higher – it’s certainly a long way down when you’re at the top!

We are all looking forward to our first evening activity, which is Rushing Rockets! We can’t wait to get into our comfy beds for our first night of sleep either and we’re all excited to find out what’s for breakfast in the morning!

We are all very excited about our trip next week! The weather forecast looks a little mixed, so please make sure your child has packed everything from the kit list and includes plenty of layers.

When your child arrives at school on Tuesday morning, they will be asked to place their bags under the canopy by the sports hall before going into the classroom. Please drop your child off as normal for registration. We aim to depart between 9:15 and 9:30am.

Our accommodation in Calshot is a short walk from where the coach will drop us off and is accessed via some stairs. Children will need to carry their own bags. We appreciate that they may have quite a lot to carry, including sleeping bags and wellies, so please bear this in mind when packing.

It is recommended that children pack their belongings into as few bags as possible. Wheelie suitcases can be very useful, provided that children are able to lift them upstairs themselves. The children have already been made aware of this.
