Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful summer and enjoyed spending time together. It has been lovely chatting with so many of you on the playground at drop-off and pick-up, and such a pleasure to have our school community back together again. The children have returned with a wonderfully positive attitude, ready to learn and reconnect with their friends. It has been a happy start to the new school year.

What a fantastic Sports Day we had today! After keeping a close eye on the weather forecast all week, I am so pleased that we were able to go ahead with the event. It turned out to be a wonderful morning that truly reflected everything that makes our Bentley community so special.

As we reach the end of what has certainly been one of the hottest weeks I can remember, I simply wanted to say how incredibly proud I am of every single member of our Bentley community.

It was wonderful to welcome our new Year R children and their parents into school this week. Our current Year 6 children did an exceptional job showing families around the school, and we received some fantastic feedback about the tours. We are incredibly proud of how confident, articulate, and responsible our children are, and it was a pleasure to hear how they acted as such excellent ambassadors for our school.

This week has been another busy and exciting one at school. The children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in National Numeracy Day, celebrating all things maths! Taking advantage of the lovely weather, many classes took their learning outside, enjoying practical and engaging mathematical activities in the sunshine. Thank you to Mrs Blake for organising the day.
