      Everyone has woken up to the start of another beautiful day after last night's campfire - and a good night's sleep. All the fresh air and exercise are certainly helping with sleep and hearty appetites!

      The two classes have had breakfast and will return to the dorms to finish packing before they start their final morning of activities. Year 3 are going to be having a session of Environmental Art and Year 4 have the low ropes and assault course to tackle.

    • Thursday - Vikings, pond dipping & team building

      Year 3 have loved finding newts, dragonfly larvae and other insects during pond dipping and inspecting all of the minibeasts they found. This afternoon they have completed the maze crystal challenges in teams leading to the completion of the maze. They are having a brilliant day and have loved all of the team work tasks today.

      Year 4 have had a great day, with their VIP guest at breakfast and then the Year 3 class joining them for lunch - sausages, mashed potatoes and carrots, with gravy, followed by a flapjack for dessert - yummy!

      Mrs Pinchess arrived as everyone was getting ready for breakfast after a good night’s sleep. The weather was a little grey and drizzly on her journey but with typical Gordon Brown luck it is dry and clearing nicely at the Centre - a perfect temperature for a busy fun-filled day ahead!

    • Tuesday - settling in...

      We’re off and running on the first day of our fantastic residential visit!

      It has been a busy day! Firstly, moving in this morning and meeting all the animals which took some time. Our site show round was followed by a delicious curry and rice lunch - with a scrummy shortbread for desert.
