This year so far, we have been talking about how everyone is unique and special, with each of us bringing our own qualities, talents and interests to our Bentley family. To celebrate this, every child and adult has decorated a lolly stick to reflect something about themselves. Together, these have created a wonderful display, which now takes pride of place on my office wall. It is a colourful reminder that everyone belongs, everyone is valued and everyone has something special to contribute to our community. Children and staff have loved finding their own stick and spotting those belonging to their friends and colleagues!

After several years of running our Friday afternoon Gardening Club with Year 1, Elise and Georgie have decided that it is time to step down. We would like to thank them both for their incredible dedication and for giving so generously of their time. Many children have loved working with them over the years and have benefited enormously from this wonderful experience. We are now looking for new volunteers who may be able to continue this valuable enrichment opportunity for our children. If you are interested in helping, please contact the school office.

Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful summer and enjoyed spending time together. It has been lovely chatting with so many of you on the playground at drop-off and pick-up, and such a pleasure to have our school community back together again. The children have returned with a wonderfully positive attitude, ready to learn and reconnect with their friends. It has been a happy start to the new school year.

What a fantastic Sports Day we had today! After keeping a close eye on the weather forecast all week, I am so pleased that we were able to go ahead with the event. It turned out to be a wonderful morning that truly reflected everything that makes our Bentley community so special.

As we reach the end of what has certainly been one of the hottest weeks I can remember, I simply wanted to say how incredibly proud I am of every single member of our Bentley community.
