  • Day 3

We all had a great second night’s sleep and woke to the sound of waves crashing on the beach outside our accommodation – Laurence House.

After a delicious breakfast, we all set off for our first morning of activities. Group 3 learnt about coastal erosion, longshore drift and deposition in an activity called ‘Coastline Catastrophe’. This ended in a class debate - one of our favourite activities! At the same time, Groups 1 & 2 returned to the ski slope for their second lesson, some of them might even make the next winter Olympics! Alongside skiing, they also tackled ‘Peg Pole’. Everyone was very brave as it is a bit wobbly when you stand on the tiny platform at the top. They even completed some challenges set by their instructor whilst they were up there.

After another tasty lunch (the food here is great), the three groups swapped over so Group 1 & 2 were now going to have their turn at ‘Coastline Catastrophe’ whilst Group 3 hit the slopes again and then seeing if they can match the efforts and courageousness of Groups 1 & 2 in ‘Peg Pole’.

We are all looking forward to tonight’s evening activity which is a games evening.
