As it was simply too hot to take part in our outdoor orienteering session, our activity leaders organised an extra archery session instead. This time, however, we faced an added challenge: shooting from 18 metres rather than 12! Year 6 (and Miss Miles!) embraced the challenge and were incredibly proud of their impressive shots.

With the perfect gentle breeze, we had a fun morning of windsurfing! With a quick lesson on land, we were then ready to take to the sea. It wasn’t long before some of us were sailing across the bay. We were so proud of everyone’s resilience and determination to stay standing - our instructors were very impressed with our group!

After our second activity and another delicious, filling meal last night, the evening got off to a lively start with an Egg Drop Challenge (or perhaps a Water Balloon Drop Challenge!) that showcased plenty of creativity, problem-solving and teamwork.

Half of the group then headed off to watch the first half of the England match.

Unfortunately, it seems our enthusiastic chants of support didn’t quite reach the team and we were left feeling a little disappointed by half-time!

Despite the warm weather, everyone settled in brilliantly and enjoyed a great first night’s sleep, helped by the refreshing sea breeze drifting through the windows. This morning began with room inspections, complete with some entertaining songs and dances to earn extra points, followed by a cooked breakfast to set everyone up for the day ahead.

We’re now heading off for a full day of adventure, including sailing and beach exploration. And, of course, we’re sure to fit in an ice cream to help keep cool! Stay tuned for more updates and photos later.
