As we approach the final stretch of the term, I wanted to reflect on what has been an absolutely fantastic week here at Bentley.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended our Christmas Fair! It was wonderful to see such a fantastic turnout and to experience the joy of our community coming together. The Year 6 children impressed us all with their creative and engaging stalls, offering a wide range of fun activities for everyone to enjoy.
I can hardly believe we are already approaching December—this term is absolutely whizzing by! With the festive season just around the corner, it is wonderful to see the school beginning to feel truly Christmassy. Decorations are starting to appear, and there is a joyful buzz in the air.
As we approach the festive season, the school is buzzing with excitement and preparations for all our upcoming Christmas events. This week, we have been delighted to see such generosity during our non-school uniform day in exchange for donations to the Christmas Fair raffle. The contributions have been fantastic, and the raffle prizes are shaping up to be truly special – thank you for your support!
I hope this finds you well! I’d like to start by extending a huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Bentley fireworks event last week. It was my first time experiencing Bentley’s renowned fireworks night, and I was truly blown away by the incredible atmosphere and community spirit. The Eiffel Tower bonfire structure was spectacular, adding to a magical evening for everyone! Thank you to our competition winners, who joined Mr Goddard in the procession of the torch in order to light the bonfire.
I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable half-term break. I am pleased to report that our camping was a great success. We were lucky with the weather – no rain – and our sleeping bags kept my daughter and I cosy and warm each night.
As we come to the end of this first half-term, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on what has been an incredible start to the school year. It has been a busy few weeks, full of excitement, learning, and community spirit, and I am so proud of everything our children and staff have achieved.
It was truly wonderful to welcome so many of you to our Harvest Festival this week. I am incredibly proud of all the children, from the beautiful artwork to the heartfelt prayers they wrote. It was a special occasion to come together as a community and give thanks to God in such a meaningful way.
