I had so much fun at Eggar’s school while playing dodgeball! There were four schools and each school did really well. Bentley had great teamwork and I enjoyed it the most when the rest of the team were supporting me.
On Thursday 25th January, I took a team of Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 children to Binsted recreation ground to take part in this term’s cross-country event.
On Wednesday, I took a team of gymnasts to Rowledge CE Primary School to compete in the local schools’ gymnastics competition.
On Thursday 11th January, a team of 16 Key Stage 2 children from Years 3 – 6 participated in the Alton Schools’ Swimming Gala.
Congratulations to our year 5 and 6 rugby team who competed in a local tournament at Amery Hill School yesterday.
On Wednesday 26th April, eight children from Year 5 and 6 made up the team of basketball players who went to compete in the Hampshire Basketball Final at Solent University after winning their previous round all the way back in November! We think we played amazingly despite the tough competition. After playing eleven games we were worn out, but overall we were really proud of our performance.
The year 5 and year 6 tag rugby team represented Bentley in a tournament at Amery Hill School last week.
We all love a game of ping-pong at break-times and last Wednesday we had an opportunity to play against children from other schools.
Mr Goddard had the pleasure of being the staff representative on Wednesday at Perins School with our squad of Year 5 and 6 basketball players.
There are great plans afoot within the village to extend the participation and enjoyment of cricket for all ages.
We were delighted by the excellent teamwork demonstrated by the Year 3 and 4 girls football team last week.
Congratulations to our Year 3 & 4 Football Team who played brilliantly (despite the pouring rain) in the local cluster school’s tournament, coming second overall.
