Another busy and exciting term of events!
Wow! What a lot we have done this term!
We have had a busy and successful start to the new school year.
Friday 24th March, straight after school till 6pm
With Spring round the corner, evenings getting lighter and clocks soon to change, our thoughts are turning to Easter!
We’ve teamed up with Doughies for a fun family night in. Order your pizza and cookie kits and you’ll receive everything you need to make artisan margherita pizzas (regular or vegan) and warm gooey cookies in your home oven.
The PTFA elves have been busy! Please see below for what is going on in the last few weeks of term!
Bentley School has been collecting apples each autumn for the past 8 years. Families and local residents kindly donate their surplus apples and windfalls. We organise apple picks for all the children to experience walking up to the orchard and collecting the juicy red harvest. It is an important part of their education to learn where their food and drink comes from.
We are very excited to announce the date for our Bentley Bake Off will be 14th February.
The rules are simple – register online to be one of our bakers, bake five cupcakes or cookies or bread rolls at home and bring them into school on 14th February. Please remember we are nut free and your child might even want to be adventurous and bake something to suit different food intolerances. Pupils must also bring in a list of the ingredients used so we can ensure children with food allergies remain safe and don’t taste these.
We are delighted to announce the Bentley bike ride is back again this year! For those not familiar with this super fundraiser, intrepid volunteers and their bikes will be transported to Bombay (the distillery in Laverstoke, not the former City in India) very early on the morning of Saturday 2nd July ready to make their epic 50-mile journey through the beautiful Hampshire countryside and back to school.
The PTFA have been busy this week planning the Christmas Fair, which is due to take place on Friday 26 November!
