We've arrived!
Year 6 were full of energy and anticipation as they headed off this morning on their last residential visit from Bentley! There was a great deal of excitement as they boarded the bus; having had a brilliant time at Calshot last year, they were all really keen to return and get stuck in to more fabulous activities.
After settling into their rooms, the children met the main instructors for the week and went on a tour of the site. This was followed by our first meal at Calshot; the children are all really pleased with how much choice there is.
This afternoon the first activities of the week began. Group 1 & 2 set off to the Sopwith Hangar to don their wetsuits and life jackets for their first water sports activity – sailing in the fun boats! Group 3 were also on the water, trying windsurfing!
After a tasty tea there will be a little bit of time to carry on unpacking before heading off for an evening of ‘Egg drop’ challenge. Who said Year 6 was all work and no play?!
