Pond dipping, Shelters & Minibeasts

Year 3 have had another great day....

Day two of our adventure at the Gordon Brown Centre has been great fun!

After a good night's sleep and a tasty breakfast we headed off to the pond to see what we could find lurking in its depths. We soon had a selection of newts, waterboatmen and dragonfly nymphs in our trays. Then we went on a minibeast hunt in the grounds and found spiders, centipedes, worms and slugs!

After lunch we built shelters in the woods and had to go through bear proof and waterproofing tests to see how good they were!

We are looking forward to singing songs and telling stories later on around the campfire before settling down for our last night here.
